Do you know your purpose?

In many people’s lives, transition is a big theme right now.  It’s showing up in many ways – changes in business, a relationship ending, losing a job, and much more.  Feelings of confusion and even fear are common.  Is it really possible to increase your success in these uncertain times?

One of the things that I have been doing over the past six months is having honest conversations with people whose businesses are thriving.  It’s a strategy that comes from Appreciative Inquiry (AI), a business consulting model I respect.  Instead of focusing on what’s wrong, this model teaches us to learn from what is going well.

What I heard may surprise you.  From the CEO of a $100 million dollar per month company (Zappos.com) to an EFT coach whose practice in London is thriving (Sejual Shah), I have heard one common theme in these conversations – being clear about one’s purpose is key to thriving in today’s world.

Honestly, this answer surprised me and pointed out some areas where I needed to grow.  Over the past few months, I have been working to clarify my purpose and find new ways to serve my clients.  I look forward to sharing more about what I’ve learned in the coming months.
